Types of Hospitalization:
- Acute Care – Medical and Surgical nursing care for injury or illness
- Skilled Nursing (Swing Bed) – Acute illness is largely resolved; continued skilled nursing and/or therapy is needed for transitional care before going home or to other care center.
- Respite Care – Private stay
- Hospice – Care of patients and families experiencing terminal illnes and a life expectancy of six months or less.
